The wait is over, folks. Released one hour ago or so, here’s the latest chapter of Joey Badass saga, Summer Knights. Or Joey Bada$$, as you prefer. Once again, the Pro.Era general brings his people on, and drops his third mixtape in a year or so, from Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York, with love.

Same recipe of the previous dishes, we have a slew of dope beats reminiscent of some golden era and aura, dope rhymes with a fresh delivery, a large crew as backbone, the same team of people working on songs, tours, videos, promotion and so on. The brand is hot right now. These guys have toured the U.S. this spring, and they’re ready to hit the road again paying their dues with B.O.B. and Khalifa, for their summer tour. A lot to prove to this young unit, but a lot to maintain, too.

For you to know, speaking of music, the productions here are handled by Prodies Chuck Strangers and Kirk Knight, mainly, helped by Lee Bannon and Bruce Leekix, and Statik Selektah. Plus sparse joints from MF Doom, The Alchemist and Oddissee, as well.
Featuring on the m.i.c. comprehend Smoke DZA, Collie Budz, T’nah Apex, Nyck Caution, Dirty Sanchez and Dessy Hinds.

Finally, a pleasant vibe for some new Pro.Era, though we’re curious to see what’ll happen with the record when it’ll drop. The material dropped so far is interesting, sometimes excellent, but still mixtape’s stuff, so the question is simple: what these kids are cooking up for their official joints?

We’ll stay tuned.
Out like what’s the word, word?
